Frequencies of Happiness
The first day of the festival will belong to two ensembles from the Czech Republic. The first is formed by young talented musicians and led by an excellent sax player from Hradec Králové. They will be followed by a duo well-recognized on the Czech scene, presenting, in an extended line-up, a special repertoire by contemporary composers. Dive into the waves of four double-basses and four voices!
The concert of HLASkontraBAS Octet is supported by EHP and Norway grandts.
Melodies of Lightness
We’ll begin the Wednesday program with 40s to 50s American jazz, then we will move to the Beseda Studio for the performance of a French quintet presenting their imaginative music filled with twists and surprises, followed by three musicians and their highly original interpretations of existing jazz and pop pieces.

Rhythm of Hope
On Thursday, we will welcome the stars of European and American jazz on the stage. The first on the stage will be a Polish duo presenting their unrestrained improvisation and compositions full of imagination and exceptional musical synchrony. They will be followed by three celebrated figures of the contemporary American scene, who build on the jazz tradition, approaching it with respect, but at the same time with freedom and within the context of the present day.
Resonances of Good
On Friday, you can look forward to a duo formed by two leading personages of the Czech jazz scene, followed by the finest cream of Polish jazz presenting the well-recognized tradition of Polish avant-garde music. The program will continue with a unique project of a renowned Czech orchestra in collaboration with a Norwegian big band arranger and conductor.
For those still looking for music experience, a last year’s discovery on the domestic scene will perform their fusion of country, rock, and jazz.
Attend a presentation of legendary Hammond instruments (www.hammond.eu) and Leslie speakers. During the two-hour seminar you will learn everything about them, not only from history but especially from the present. Hammond's in-house player Mr. Dirk Van der Linden from Belgium (www.dirkvanderlinden.com) will be present. The meeting will be conducted in an informal atmosphere with the opportunity to try out the instruments and discuss musical and non-musical topics.
